meet the face behind the posts
My name is Sarah Hudson, and I am a graduate student at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I graduated with my bachelors degree in elementary education in May of 2020 from Appalachian State, and am sticking around to further my education in reading education. I grew up in Indian Trail, North Carolina, and have always known that I was born to educate and inspire lives.
I was not always a reader, which is a big reason why I decided to get my masters in reading education. I want to be able to provide my students with enough support and education in all subjects. As I began my masters degree, I found out that I have a deep appreciation and love for children's books. I hope you chose to dive deeper into my blog to see more about my journey and all of the connections I am making with the books I am reading.

how i got my name
When I was born, my parents were trying to have a baby girl. After my older sister was born on the spectrum, they felt discouraged and scared to have another child because of the difficulties of raising a child with autism. When they were given me, a baby girl, they were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, believing that I was their miracle. They gave me the name Sarah Grace, naming me Sarah from the Bible, and Grace from "the grace of God."
